Branches of Prayer

A life rooted in truth grows through prayer.

Prayer is where relationship grows.

Prayer gives us space to bring our whole selves before God—the things we're celebrating, the things we're carrying, the questions we don't have answers to, and the people we love.

We don't need perfect words or a perfect routine. Prayer begins with simply coming to God.

As we make prayer part of our everyday lives, we learn to depend on Him, listen for His direction, and trust Him in every season.

Come To God

Prayer begins with relationship. We can come to God honestly and confidently, knowing that He welcomes us.

Talk With God

Prayer is more than asking for things. It's conversation—bringing our thoughts, questions, gratitude, fears, and desires to God.

Grow Through Prayer

As we pray, God changes more than our circumstances. Prayer shapes our hearts, strengthens our faith, and teaches us to trust Him.

More Than a Prayer List

Prayer is something we can grow into together.

Children don't need a complicated theology of prayer to begin talking with God. They need opportunities to see prayer modeled, hear it practiced, and experience that they can come to God with anything.

Family prayer doesn't have to be long or complicated. It can happen around the dinner table, in the car, at bedtime, during a difficult moment, or when something wonderful happens.

Small moments of prayer can become lifelong habits of faith.

Prayer resources can help us develop rhythms and give us words when we don't know what to say. But the goal isn't simply to complete a prayer journal, finish a prayer challenge, or work through a list.

The goal is relationship.

A prayer prompt can start a conversation with God. A prayer journal can help us slow down and notice what we're carrying. A prayer guide can teach us new ways to pray.

Use these tools as a starting point—but don't feel confined by them.

The resource is the starting point. The relationship is the goal.

This collection is just the beginning.

We're continuing to create Scripture-centered resources that help children discover God's Word, ask meaningful questions, and grow in their understanding of who God is.

Come back often—there's always something new growing at Homegrown Disciples.
